Stanton & Killeen Rutherglen Muscat 37.5cl

£14.75

Raisins, toffee, oranges, dates and christmas pudding

Description

Possibly the richest wine in the world. Raisins, toffee, oranges, dates and christmas pudding all in one. Great complexity, and despite the richness it is still fresh. The grapes are picked when they are raisined on the vine. They are then pressed and fermented. The fermentation is stopped by the addition of a neutral spirit before the wine goes into barrels. This young muscat is blended from various aged reserves up to four years old. 17.5%. 37.cl bottle

Jancis Robinson Sunday Times & www.jancisrobinson.com – says of it

Mid to deep fox red. Lively broad and creamy with strong Muscat character and great fruit and coffee character. Really complete. Zesty. Lovely stuff! Because not just sweet. 17 points (out of 20)
